Physics Of Optical Tweezers And Force Measurements

Student will work with Dr. Bianco to align HeNe and Nd:YAG lasers to create dual optical traps in a fluorescence microscope. The optical traps will be used for force measurements.

Disciplines: Physics, Biophysics, Engineering Physics
Student Skill-Set Needed: Physics or biophysics majors. Must have taken physics 102 (optics) at a minimum or physics 207 and 257
Compensation: Academic Credit, Volunteer, Work Study
