Student working on a research project.

Research Project

We are looking for students who are interested in low-dimensional material synthesis and their applications for electrochemical energy conversion and storage systems, including fuel cells, batteries, and supercapacitors. Low-dimensional materials will be synthesized using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and wet chemical methods. Materials include graphene, carbon nanotube, transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), silicon, metal oxides and their hybrid structures.

Research Project Information

Disciplines: Electrochemistry/Chemistry/Physics/Electrical engineering
Student Skill-Set Needed: Chemical vapor deposition or general wet chemical synthesis
Compensation: Academic Credit, Volunteer
Available: Fall, Spring, Summer
