Student working on a research project.

Experimental Validation Of FEA Results

Seeking a student or group of students to work on experimental validation of finite element analysis (FEA) results. FEA will be performed using Creo Simulate. Components will need to be fabricated in the engineering machine shop. This work will allow for the exploration of boundary conditions on some common components, with experimental results being used for justification.

Research Project Information

Student Skill-Set Needed: Experience with (or willing to learn) machine shop skills (milling machine), experience with PTC Creo Simulate is preferrable but not required.
Compensation: Academic Credit, Volunteer
Available: Fall, Spring, Summer
