The PULSE Healthy Weight Research Team

The PULSE Healthy Weight Research Team is seeking energetic individuals hoping to make a difference in the lives of overweight adolescents. If you would like to be a clinically oriented research assistant in an applied study, this would be an excellent opportunity. That is, you will work directly with adolescents while assigned to this project. We will be conducting a trial of an after-school program on the West side of Buffalo. The program is a secondary prevention curriculum for overweight adolescents. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills & Healthy Weight Promotion will be combined in order to prevent depression and promote healthy weight in adolescents. Excellent opportunity for those seeking to enter mental health careers and/or advanced graduate training in psychology, mental health nursing, social work, and/or specialized psychiatric medicine.
