Research assistant (RA) positions available at the Research Institute on Addictions, located on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. Project will investigate the brain mechanisms mediating increased drug addiction propensity after exposure to risk factors such as psychostimulant exposure, prenatal ethanol exposure, or prenatal stress exposure. RAs will be responsible for the behavioral projects (operant drug taking behavior) with the possibility for highly motivated persons to learn the cellular electrophysiological techniques to study synaptic transmission in the future.
