I am recruiting two undergraduate research assistants for a research project on the shape and variation of middle ear structures that may correlate with hearing loss. The assistants will learn to use biomedical and bioengineering software to process CT data, build 3-D models, and possibly perform landmark based shape analysis. This project aims to generate critical morphology and variation data for understanding the structural changes in human middle ear that may be correlated with age and/or hearing loss.
Disciplines: Anatomical Sciences, CT scanning, Auditory system
Student Skill-Set Needed: Desire to learn and work with technical software programs, Knowledge of basic human anatomy would be beneficial, but not required.
Compensation: Academic Credit, Volunteer, Work Study
Available: Spring, Summer
