Food Systems Planning

The Food Systems Planning and Healthy Communities Lab is dedicated to research that examines the role of local government policy in the facilitation of equitable, healthy, and sustainable communities. Research opportunities are available to students who are interested in learning how we can create equitable food systems using planning and policy tools in Buffalo, nationally, and globally. Projects may involve policy analysis, literature reviews, as well as data collection and analysis.

Research Project Information

Disciplines: Serious applicants from any discipline
Student Skill-Set Needed: Good academic standing, Microsoft Office Suite, good writing and verbal skills. Fluency in the Adobe Suite is recommended, but not necessary.
Compensation: Salary / Stipend, Volunteer, Work Study
Available: Fall, Spring, Summer
