This project will focus on structural investigation such as, the elemental distribution, compositional change, phase change etc to understand the performance of energy storage. This work will utilize the unique capability of atom probe tomography to obtain the deeper insights into chemical composition cation occupancy in to submicron level particle, which could not be detected from bulk materials diagnostic techniques.
