An research opportunity is available immediately in a lab at the UB medical school for students with interest in protein biochemistry and biophysics. The lab focuses on structural and functional studies of ion channel proteins involved in thermal and pain transduction, using multidisciplinary approaches that crossover electrophysiology, fluorescence spectroscopy and protein biochemistry. The work will involve protein expression, purification and biochemical/biophysical characterization.
