Beljan, of Eden, New York, evaluated remediation alternatives to improve the water quality of Onondaga Lake, ultimately helping to develop a method to aerate the lake that would improve the water and ecosystem.

The purpose of the survey will be to identify contemporarty attitudes regarding race and race relations in the perceptions and lives of two diverse classes of students. The project will establish a baseline for the study of a broader population, as well as provide a sampling to ascertain attitude changes over time. The Principle Investigator will be compare the results of this survey with surveys that he hopes to administer to similar classes in the next two academic years. Participating will be fifty students who will be selected from one class of UGC 211 American Pluralism, and fifty from one class in African American Studies. The survey will include only those students who were born in the US and have attended US schools.
