Beljan, of Eden, New York, evaluated remediation alternatives to improve the water quality of Onondaga Lake, ultimately helping to develop a method to aerate the lake that would improve the water and ecosystem.

Students will assist in maintaining a colony of transgenic and knockout mice, genotyping mice by PCR, testing hearing function and characterizing mouse mutants using confocal microscopy, genomics and proteomics methods.
