A Lake Divided: Modeling DO in Onondaga Lake

Beljan, of Eden, New York, evaluated remediation alternatives to improve the water quality of Onondaga Lake, ultimately helping to develop a method to aerate the lake that would improve the water and ecosystem.

An NSF Funded Project

This is an interdisciplinary research project supported by NSF. We will investigate a new type of computer network using techniques from economics/mathematics.

The stipend is $10 per hour; the undergraduate research assistant is expected to work 10 hours per week. If interested, please send your CV to Dr. Sheng Zhong, director of SPECIAL group, at szhong@cse.buffalo.edu . Applications will be considered until the position has been filled.

Suggested Skill Set: • Must be an undergraduate student. • Must have good knowledge of computers and networking (either through taking courses or through self-learning). • Must have some experience in programming.
