A Lake Divided: Modeling DO in Onondaga Lake

Beljan, of Eden, New York, evaluated remediation alternatives to improve the water quality of Onondaga Lake, ultimately helping to develop a method to aerate the lake that would improve the water and ecosystem.

Walkable Buildings

This research project aims to identify and investigate the essential factors that become relevant in the design of buildings where walking constitutes the main way of accessing upper floors. This position is available for students interested in developing computer routines to generate series of designs of Walkable Buildings according to different formal, organizational, and design variables.

Suggested Skill Set: Good three dimensional understanding of the space is essential. Candidates must be proficient in Rhinoceros and Grasshopper (Rhinoceros parametric plug-in). Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
