Plans are in place for the 11th Annual Celebration of Student Academic Excellence on Thursday, April 16, 2015 in UB’s Center for the Arts! ¬†Come join the UB community as we gather to recognize and celebrate the outstanding academic contributions of our students, faculty, and research mentors.¬† The event will feature presentations from students participating in research and creative works and a lively Sigma Xi Graduate Research Symposium, followed by a formal recognition ceremony with President Tripathi honoring select individuals for their contributions to academic excellence.

University at Buffalo undergraduates interested in presenting at the 2015 Celebration must review the information outlined here.

It is with a great sense of pride and some sadness that we announce the suspension of the CURCA Student Research Awards Program for Spring 2015. As a result of the hard work from you, our UB undergraduates, and the tremendous mentoring of our UB faculty researchers, the CURCA Research Awards program received the highest number of applications in the history of the program. Due to the excellent proposals and the increase in student research projects, the CURCA Research Awards Budget was exhausted after the February 2015 review period.

Funds will become available again in Fall of 2015 for a new semester of funding opportunities. Please watch the CURCA website for the announcement of the new funding submission deadline dates. Thank you for making the program the huge success that it is. Please utilize the other resources found throughout the CURCA website as you perform meaningful research in your chosen fields of study.

This would be an outstanding meeting for undergraduates involved in original work in any area of chirality to present a poster on their work. The ability to interact with many international participants makes this an exceptional venue for undergraduates to experience the global nature of science. http://www.chiralityusa.com
